The HH-V400 portable rebound-type hardness tester is designed to test the hardness of metals. Users load the impact hammer and hit a button that ejects a steel ball at the work-piece surface. The hardness tester measures the rebound velocity of the steel ball after it hits the test material surface, thereby calculating a HL hardness value. This value can be converted to other hardness scales as required.

  • Detector: Detector D is a standard type measuring Ø28 x 174.5 mm with a tip diameter of Ø22 mm. Has impact hammer and carbide ball at tip. Other detector types are available for purchase separately.
  • Display Unit: RGB Color LCD with 2.83" screen
  • Testing hardness and range: Leeb 100.0-999.9 HLD
  • Testing direction: Omnidirectional (with an automatic angle-correcting function)
  • Hardness scale conversion function: (For reference; only Leeb hardness values are guaranteed.)
    • Vickers 43-950HV Resolution
    • Brinell 20-655 HB
    • Rockwell C 19.3-68.2 HRC
