Disposable microcentrifuge tubes are available in either polypropylene or polyethylene and range from 0.5mL to 2mL. The microcentrifuge tubes are available with attached caps or without caps. The polypropylene (PP) microcentrifuge tubes are resistant to most chemical reagents and can be autoclaved at 130°C. The polyethylene (PE) microcentrifuge tubes are softer and can be easily cut to provide access to material at the bottom of the tube.
