This used ZEISS Axiovert 7 inverted microscope is configured for materials applications using brightfield, darkfield, and polarization. This system was used over the course for about a year for customer demonstrations. The optics are fully functional, and the system has been cleaned.

- Eyepieces: Widefield 10x / 23 focusing eyepieces, accepts 26mm diameter reticle. Diopter adjustment +/-5. Interpupillary distance adjustable from 48-75mm.
- Total Magnification: 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x, 1000x.
- Specimen Stage: Includes motorized stage 130mm x 85 mm with joystick controller for XY movement. The stage movement resolution is 0.1µm, and the reproducibility is ± 0.1µm. Includes the following frames for sample mounting:
- Mounting frame for specimens with a frame size 160mm x 116mm, which can accommodate up to six cylindrical metallurgical samples with diameters between 10 and 40 mm.
- Universal mounting frame K with frame size 160mm x 110 mm, which can accommodate samples 24 to 68 mm in diameter or slides with a maximum length of 120 mm.
- Low-profile mounting frame K for reflected light (total frame size: 160 mm x 110 mm) with an inner diameter of 72 mm. This frame has a height-adjustable spring clip and has a maximum specimen size of 68 mm x 48 mm. Includes three metal stage inserts with inner diameters of 23 mm, 20 mm, and 10 mm.
- Focusing: Motorized z-drive for focusing with 78 nm resolution. 13mm focus lift with adjustable focus stop.
- Illumination: Reflected white LED 10W illumination for brightfield / darkfield, average LED lifetime > 60,000 hours. Includes ECO mode.
- DIC: Includes C-DIC slider with a rotary slide-in DIC prism.
- Stand Features:
- Stand with 6-position encoded nosepiece, can accommodate brightfield / darkfield (BD) and/ or DIC, M27 thread size, manual operation with 6 x 20mm slider mount.
- Stand has 6-reflector turret encoded for push and click (P&C) modules. P&C reflector modules are included for brightfield, darkfield, and polarized light.

- 12 x 35mm mount for analyzer slider. A 90 degree rotatable analyzer is included.

- Non-metallic inclusion analysis: Software module for evaluation and rating of non-metallic inclusions in steel (oxides, sulfides, and nitrides). Supports the following standards: ASTM E45a, ISO 4967, JIS G0555, GB/T 10561, EN 10247, SEP 1571 and DIN 50602.
