Description  

The FZ8 high resolution stereo zoom microscope with a magnification range of 6.5x - 52x is on an ergonomic track stand. This system includes a 4-quadrant LED ring light and includes your choice of digital camera and software.

  • Microscope Viewing Head: Trinocular 45º inclined viewing head rotates 360º. Beam splitter splits light between left eyetube and trinocular port while right eyetube goes dark. The microscope head can easily be set up to use click stops, or the stops may be disabled for continuous magnification. If enabled, click stops are at 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x.  
  • Eyepieces: Includes high eyepoint widefield focusable 10x eyepieces, FN 24 with ±5 diopter adjustment on each eye.  Eyepieces accept a 24mm diameter reticle.
  • Objective Lenses: Zoom range of 0.65x - 5.2x.
  • Zoom Ratio: 8:1
  • Total Magnification: 6.5x - 52x.  Magnification can be increased or decreased with auxiliary lenses. See magnification chart at bottom of page for details. Note that when changing eyepieces the magnification of the camera will not be altered.
  • Working Distance: 100mm. Can be adjusted from 26mm - 177mm depending on auxiliary lens utilized. See magnification chart below.
  • Field of View: 36.9mm at 6.5x and 4.6mm at 52x.
  • Stand: Track stand with ergonomic, low-profile base.
  • Specimen Stage: Includes 90mm black and white stage plate and two stage clips.
  • Maximum Specimen Height: 1.69" (43mm). Stand can be adjusted to accommodate larger samples. If focusing holder is moved up on stand the maximum specimen height is 5" (127.5mm).
  • Focusing: Rack and pinion focusing has slip clutch to protect mechanism against over-turning, and special tension adjustment. 120mm focusing stroke.
  • Illumination: 4-Quadrant LED ring light with 72 LED lights. ESD free protection.  UL and CSA certified. Four quadrants and rheostat control help reduce glare. Includes ring light adapter.
  • Camera: Select from four options on the table below for the camera:
  • Software Calibration: Calibrating your software with the microscope requires use of a stage micrometer. A stage micrometer is available for purchase separately.
