The NPS-XY-100A Nanopositioning stage is a piezo scanned flexure-guided stage with integrated capacitance sensors capable of sub-nanometer resolution and reproducibility. The stage is made of Super Invar, a material that minimizes thermal expansion. The unique isostatic mounting system ensures that stresses from mounting the stage are properly relieved, and the center of the stage is the coordinate reference point. This is an Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) system, so it includes a feed through for the vacuum line, an air side cable in your choice of three lengths, and a NanoScan NPC-D-6330 Controller, which is specifically designed to control this type of stage.

Applications for the NPS-XY-100A Nanopositioning stage include atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning probe microscopy (SPM), and near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM).

The Nanopostion Stage NPS-XY-100A is made to order and the exact specifications of your stage will be provided when you receive it. Typical specifications are as follows:

  • Closed Loop Range: ± 55 µm with a minimum of ± 50 µm (varies with each stage)
  • Scale factor error (1σ): 0.1% (varies with each stage)
  • Static stiffness (for all stages): 1 N/µm

The NPC-D-6330 Controller is a 3-axis, 20 bit controller and has the following specifications:
