Microscope Slide Storage Box

This Cargille microslide storage box is designed to hold microscope slides measuring 1" x 3" or 3" x 2". Each compartment is numerically indexed, and the numbers correspond to a chart on the underside of the lid where slides can be identified. The configuration of the box can be altered by adding or removing partitions. A 10mm cushioning space surrounds the partitioned compartment, which protects slides from accidental damage. The box is made of solid fiberboard and has a reinforced, hinged lid. Note that this is the box only; no slides are included. The specifications of the box are as follows:

  • 480 slides for slides measuring 1" x 3" (25mm x 76mm) OR
  • 240 slides for slides measuring 3" x 2" (76mm x 51mm)
• Compartments (maximum number, minimum size): 48 compartments measuring 1 ¹⁄₈" x ⁵⁄₈" x 3" (29mm x 16mm x 76mm)
• Compartment Arrangement: 4 across x 12 deep with removable partitions
• Dimensions:
  • Outside: 9 ¹⁄₂" x 6" x 3 ¹⁄₄" (241mm x 153mm x 83mm)
  • Inside: 9 ¹⁄₁₆" x 5 ⁹⁄₁₆" x 3 ¹⁄₁₆ " (230mm x 141mm x 78mm)
