Description  

The FZ8 high resolution stereo zoom microscope has a magnification range of 6.5x - 52x and is on an ergonomic post stand with LED top and bottom lights. The system includes your choice of digital camera and software.

  • Microscope Viewing Head: Trinocular 45º inclined viewing head rotates 360º.Light is split 50:50 between eyetubes and trinocular port. Includes c-mount adapter. The microscope head can easily be set to use click stops, or the stops may be disabled for continuous magnification. If enabled, click stops are at 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x.
  • Eyepieces: Includes high eyepoint widefield focusable 10x eyepieces, FN 24 with ±5 diopter adjustment on each eye
  • Objective Lenses: Zoom range of 0.65x - 5.2x.
  • Zoom Ratio: 8:1
  • Total Magnification: 6.5x - 52x.  Magnification can be increased or decreased with auxiliary lenses. See magnification chart at bottom of page for details. Note that when changing eyepieces the magnification of the camera will not be altered.
  • Working Distance: 118mm. Can be adjusted from 26mm - 177mm depending on auxiliary lens used. See magnification chart below.
  • Field of View: 36.2mm at 6.5x and 4.7mm at 52x.
  • Stand: Post stand with transmitted and reflected LED illuminators. Top light has its own intensity control and each light operates independently of the other. Includes 2 stage clips. 100V~240V.
  • Specimen Stage: Includes a 100mm glass stage plate, as well as two stage clips.   
  • Focusing: Coarse focusing with tension adjustable focus knobs.
  • Illumination: Top and bottom LED illuminators with dual intensity control and on/off switches.
  • Camera: Select from four options on the table below for the camera.
  • Software Calibration: If you plan to make measurements using the software you will need to calibrate the microscope. Calibrating your software with the microscope requires use of a stage micrometer, which is available for purchase separately.
