Cargille Refractive Index Liquid Series M

Cargille refractive index liquid series M with indices from 1.705 to 1.800. These liquids are available in increments of 0.005 and are adjusted to +/- 0.0005. These liquids are of a methylene iodide formulation. Indices from 1.740 to 1.780 contain sulfur imparting yellow color. Indices from 1.785 to 1.800 have tin iodide added, for a dark red color. Color refers to appearance when liquid is used in bulk, as liquid is virtually colorless when used in a thin layer. As methylene iodide evaporates, indices from 1.705 to 1.735 decrease in index.
