The Basic Protein Crystallography Stereo Microscope FZ8 is configured to meet the needs of laboratories studying protein crystallography. In this field, being able to distinguish between amorphous and crystalline specimens is important. Magnifications of greater than 10x are best for easy detection of small microcrystals. Pseudo-darkfield illumination is also used to evaluate crystallization.
