Metkon SPECTRAL 250 Table Top Surface Grinder

The Spectral 250 is a table-top surface grinder designed to prepare steel samples for spectroscopy. This table top unit has a compact design with vibration-free operation. It is low-noise and does not generate much dust.

This surface grinder has the following specifications:

• Wheel Diameter: 250 mm
  
• Wheel Speed: 2800 rpm

• Grinding disc: Partially covered by the lid so that only part of the disc is exposed during grinding.
• Safety features: Dust box and spark trap are included. A safety switch will automatically turn off the disc when the lid is open.
  
• Grinding Paper adjustment: The grinding disc is adjusted with vacuum pressure, so no glue is required to affix the grinding paper to the wheel.
  
• Size (WxDxH): 35 cm x 45 cm x 33 cm (14" x 18" x 13")
  
• Weight: 40 kg (88 lbs.)

Samples can become to hot too handle for the operator due to heat generated during grinding. Sample holders are available separately for purchase (see options below) so that the operator can easily hold the sample during the grinding process. Grinding paper discs are not included and are also available for purchase separately (options are listed below).
