Evaluation of crystallization experiements for distinguishing between amorphous and crystalline specimens requires a high quality stereo microscope. Zoom magnification is used along with cross polarization and at least 10x magnification, although higher magnifications are ideal for easy detection of small microcrystals.
- Stereo Microscope Body: Meiji trinocular stereo zoom microscope body with 0.7x-4.5x zoom range. Eyetubes are inclined 45°, interpupillary distance adjusts from 54mm - 75mm. Dual eyetube diopters +/-5.
- Eyepieces:
Includes Widefield 10x eyepieces, field of view 23mm.
- Working Distance: 93mm
- Total Magnification: 7x-45x.
- Stand: Transmitted light stand for high-intensity brightfield and darkfield illumination. Annular fiber optic light guide is connected to an external variable-intensity 150w halogen light source (included). Front-mounted slider allows quick transition between brightfield & darkfield observation. Other features include built-in power supply for optional COX illuminator, aluminum allow base, anti-static finish, safety collar, clear glass stage plate and two stage clips.
- Focusing Holder: Focusing holder has coarse focusing.
- Polarization: Includes rotatable analyzer and polarizer.
- Camera Option: Select camera option below to include c-mount adapter and 2 mega pixel DK2-CCD digital camera with software. The CCD camera is ideal for low light conditions when using darkfield for viewing crystallization.
- Illumination: 150w Halogen light source with light guide.
- Included: Includes eyeshields, owner's manual and dust cover.
- Warranty: Microscope includes a lifetime limited warranty. Illuminator has a 1-year warranty.
