Evaluation of crystallization experiements for distinguishing between amorphous and crystalline specimens requires a high quality stereo microscope. Zoom magnification is used along with cross polarization and at least 10x magnification, although higher magnifications are ideal for easy detection of small microcrystals.

• Stand: Transmitted light stand for high-intensity brightfield and darkfield illumination. Annular fiber optic light guide is connected to an external variable-intensity 150w halogen light source (included).
