Digital Microscopes

Digital microscopes include a built-in digital camera. The microscope functions as a standard stand-alone microscope, but can also be plugged into the computer with the included USB cable. Once connected to the computer, the included software allows the user to view a live image on the computer. Images can be captured as still images or motion video, saved and edited. The software can also be used to make measurements. High power digital microscopes provide light from beneath the stage and are best for viewing biological specimens that allow light to pass through them. Low power digital stereo microscopes are perfect for viewing larger objects that will not allow light to pass through them such as small metal parts or dissection specimens.
