Lumencor CELESTA Light Engine

The Lumencor CELESTA light engine provides four, five, or seven individually addressable solid-state laser light sources with an advanced electronic control system to deliver unprecedented output power and performance. Used for confocal, MERFISH, super-resolution microscopy, optogenetics, FRAP and DNA-PAINT applications.

  • Sources: Option of 4, 5, or 7 class 4 multimode laser sources (VCGR, VCGRN, VBCTGRN, VBCTGRnIR) with output despeckler.
  • Wavelengths: Nominal center wavelengths 405, 446, 477, 520, 546, 638, 749 +/- 2nm.
  • Bandpass Filters: Integrally installed bandpass filters for spectral output refinement.
  • Light Delivery: SMA or FC/PC terminated fiber for your choice of:
    • SMA ~800 mW output per color channel at distal end of 1mm or 1.5mm multimode fiber.
    • FC/PC ~500-700 mW output per color channel at distal end of 400µm multimode fiber.
    • FC/PC ~200-750 mW output per color channel at distal end of 400µm multimode fiber.
  • Safety Interlocks: Laser output contingent on manual (key) and remote (electronic) interlocks.
  • Operational Control: Onboard computer with server/client architecture and embedded command library.
  • Control Interfaces: Source selection, light output on/off and intensity via serial interface (RS-232/USB or TCP). Source selection and light output on/off via TTL.
  • Software: Onboard GUI or PC-based image acquisition software.
