The MW3-H2 high power compound biology microscope has high quality optics, highly engineered mechanics and very rugged construction. The reverse position objective turret permits easier changing and positioning of specimen slides. The 5-watt fluorescent illumination system provides optimum image brightness with no bulb heat.
- Objective Lenses: DIN 4x, 10x and 40x (retractable) objectives are achromatic, parcentered, parfocalled, color-coded.
45° inclined viewing head rotates 360° for easy sharing by more than one student, or for reverse position viewing.
- Eyepieces: Widefield 10x eyepiece with revolving pointer, supplied in both diagonal and vertical viewing tubes. Accepts optional eyepiece reticle.
- Total Magnification: 40x, 100x, 400x (MW3-H3 includes 1000x).
- Specimen Stage: Large 135mm x 135mm stage (5.25" x 5.25"),
with low profile mechanical specimen holder with low-position coaxial x-y controls.
1.25 N.A. abbe condenser with spiral focusing mount, iris diaphragm, swing-out filter holder, blue filter is supplied.
- Focusing: Low position coarse and fine focusing controls.
Slip clutch prevents damage to focusing system and
tension adjustment eliminates stage drift.
Safety rack stop prevents damage to slides and objective lenses.
- Illumination: 5 watt fluorescent illumination delivers greater light and longer life than standard tungsten bulbs. Virtually heat free operation with base-mounted on/off switch.
